So, doing Kingdom work, taking one of my many daily walks around the 'burbs of downtown Marshall Islands, comparing it to the United States, it struck me: "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" I was taking a walk, enjoying God's creation, and there was a little kid, in the dark, sitting on the sidewalk singing. The song he was singing (in Marshalleese:) I Need Thee Every Hour. awesome to be able to know that God indeed is needed every hour.

I'm half way around the world, typing on my iPad, sweating, and wondering why it's so hot. Then I realized why: I'm located 7' North - that's right - basically near the Equator!!!! makes Florida seem downright frigid.

well since my Verizon contract is no more, FB is my only connection to the outside world, and Skype. I'm in the land of pineapple, taking a nap for a few hours and then off to the land of Micronesia. Had my last fast food for a spell, and even chewed the fat for a bit.

Well I've been in LAX/CA for nearly four hours now...I've seriously heard like two people in the entire Airport speak English. And one of them couldn't figure out ur supposed to wave ur hand to dry them - no paper towel; obviously couldn't read English - but could curse in it.

In Phoenix: heat feels like 100!!! Boarding in 30min for LAX leg of trip. Pickin' my nose for 7 hrs in LAX and then in to Honolulu!!! Yeah baby! Land of pineapples!!!! 10 hrs after that, off to Micronesia!!! Yeah! Gotta love 32hrs of travel!

Below is my own comment that I left on Dr. Naselli's site concerning this issue:

We must learn to rest in God-ordained Creational fiat. I suspect that many buy the evolution view because they assume that the appearance of age is equivalent to chronological age.

While, needless to say before an already preached-to-choir, it bears repeating that the importance of a Creationist view has wider implications. If we cannot take God at His Word, everything in Scripture then falls prey to eisegetical individualism. At the risk of introducing another area of debate, Satan was the first textual critic. We, too, endanger God-breathed Scripture when we question Ge 1-3.

Well, tomorrow is Father's Day (EST, at least). I'm thankful not only for my Heavenly Father who continues to sustain me; but my earthly one as well, who was burdened to adopt, and poof! Here I am several decades later about to start Kingdom work in a far, far off place in Micronesia.

Well, today one of the sermons I listened to was by Josh Harris while he was speaking at a conference. It was entitled, "Church Hopping," and he made an excellent point. One of the points that often get missed is not how frequently people church shop, but, rather, how many times pastors do the same thing. One of the statistics Harris cited was the average pastor changes a church every 3 years.

I don't know about you, but how can you spiritual guide people in your congregation/charge if you don't get to know them? I mean some programs pastors want to implement when arriving to a new church, take three years alone to work in.

One of the most provoking thoughts was thus: how do we view pastors; or, more accurately, and more pointedly, does a pastor view his flock as a career move/opportunity, or an opportunity to nurture and disciple?

I began listening to the conference message looking to see why congregation members/attendees switch churches; instead, I was blessed with the conviction of my own motivations for wanting to be responsible for the spiritual growth of my potential/future flock.

Well, the Lord has blessed me with a new phase of my life/ministry. I will be ministering in the Micronesia area of the world. For those of you who are saying "Micronesia?", that area is located to the right of Australia/New Zealand, but to the left of Hawaii.

I've been looking forward to this opportunity for quite some time. Previously, the door has not been opened to full-time mission(s) related work, until now. While we may have our own heartfelt desires, God - within His timeframe - has rightly determined that now is the time in my life when I need to go.

Indeed, I said "need" to go. It truly was not until now that I realize what many pastors mean when they say they "surrendered" to the call of ---; and it is now I understand.
